Vision: Enhance Army Mission effectiveness and resilience in a prudent, efficient and forward thinking manner. Mission: The Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Energy and Environment establishes policy, provides strategic direction and supervises all matters pertaining to infrastructure, Army installations and contingency bases, energy, and environmental programs to enable global Army operations.

ASA(IE&E) Response to COVID-19

As the COVID-19 pandemic persists, the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Energy and Environment (ASA(IE&E)) is balancing mission requirements to support Army operations against the need to protect the health and safety of Soldiers, Department of the Army Civilians, and family members. While the mission must continue, the safety of our personnel is our top priority. ASA(IE&E) encourages everyone to follow the guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and take precautionary and protective measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Learn more at the following websites: Center for Disease Control Government Response to Coronavirus Department of Defense U.S. Army ASA(IE&E) programs and activities are being conducted and assessed on a case-by-case basis. Some programs will be impacted until DoD travel and social distancing restrictions are lifted. For the most part, business is being managed and conducted remotely. We are asking for patience while the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 remain fluid. Programs which are significant in nature and have an impact on our installations, our environment, and the communities in which our Soldiers, Civilians and Families live, work and train remain a high priority. ASA(IE&E) anticipates being able to continue programming and decision making as we implement Department of Defense guidance. We will reschedule activities as necessary and provide updates in our program areas as needed.
