SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii — The United States Army Garrison Hawaii will be closing five gates across Oahu Army installations, Tuesday, in response to the evolving COVID-19 situation in Hawaii.

The following gates will be closed until further notice:

  • Aliamanu Military Reservation — back gate off Bougainville Drive
  • Fort Shafter — Patch Gate (back gate) off Notley Street
  • Schofield Barracks — Foote Gate off Kunia Road; Macomb Gate off Wilikina Drive
  • Wheeler Army Airfield — Kawamura Gate off Kamehameha Highway

Army officials ask for the community’s patience, and urge individuals who need access for mission or essential purposes to allow for extra time entering and exiting the gates.
