Defense Logistics Agency Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell K. Williams gave the keynote address June 19 to kick off the 2018 DLA Land and Maritime Supplier Conference and Exposition in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Lt. Gen. (Ret) Darrell K. Williams has provided over 36 years of selfless service, beginning upon his graduation from Hampton University, where he commissioned as a second lieutenant into the Army Quartermaster Corps in 1983. He is a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College, the School of Advanced Military Studies, and a distinguished Graduate of the National War College.

Williams served in many key positions to include: Commanding General of the Combined Arms Support Command; Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. Army Materiel Command; Director of Logistics, Engineering and Security Assistance at the J-4 Headquarters; Executive Officer to the Army Deputy Chief of Staff at G-4; Brigade Commander of the 3d Sustainment Brigade; Deputy C-4 of the Coalition Forces Land Component Command during Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom; and many other key leadership positions.

His awards and decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Parachute Rigger Badge, and Army Staff Identification Badge.

His consistent commitment to service and dedication to helping others over several decades are the “Standard of Excellence” and is truly worthy of this honor of being a member of the ROTC Hall of Fame.

About the Army ROTC Hall of Fame

The ROTC Hall of Fame was established in 2016 as part of the ROTC Centennial celebration. The first class (2016) inducted 326 former ROTC Cadets who had distinguished themselves in their military or civilian career.

The Hall of Fame honors graduates of the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps who have distinguished themselves in military or civilian pursuits. It provides a prestigious and tangible means of recognizing and honoring Army ROTC Alumni who have made lasting, significant contributions to the Nation, the Army and the history and traditions of the Army ROTC Program.
